Getting Around Philadelphia
Philadelphia’s public transportation network includes buses, subways, trolleys, and regional rail lines. They are all operated by SEPTA (Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority).
SEPTA’s Independence Pass is a good deal for anyone who will be using public transit extensively. It is a day pass that gets you unlimited rides on buses, subway, trolleys, and regional rail.
Anyone arriving through Amtrak’s 30th Street Station can show their Amtrak ticket to transfer for free onto a SEPTA Regional Rail train to get to Suburban and Jefferson Stations in Center City.
